Your Nature 03:55
Sunlight, pressing on my skin Bones gently sinking, to the ground Blossoms dancing on the breeze Drifting from the trees Over me It’s quiet now My thoughts slow down The only sound is you and me How do you cast this spell on me? How do you know just what I need? It must be your nature It must be your nature Weightless, held by the river Riding the shiver, into bliss Set adrift, I like myself like this Nothing here to miss I am free How do you cast this spell on me? How do you know just what I need? It must be your nature It must be your nature The circle spins Another day begins I am here within your arms How do you cast this spell on me? How do you know just what I need? It must be your nature It must be your nature

Call Me On 03:50
Stuck in this feeling I can’t shake It’s all too heavy I might break There’s no answer I can face I’m blind, bruised and hurt again Feels like I am right there on the edge A beat away from falling once again I’m asking you with everything I am Call me on Through this darkness darling Call me on I need your voice I’m asking you with everything I am It’s so hard to let it go This familiar pain that I know What’s it going to take to be free? What’s it going to take for me to see? Feels like I am right there on the edge A beat away from falling once again I’m asking you with everything I am Call me on Trough this darkness darling Call me on I need your voice I’m asking you with everything I am Call me on Trough this darkness darling Call me on I need your voice I’m asking you with everything I’m asking you with everything I am

Bad Blood 03:25
Looking back at all my past mistakes Yeah I’ve made a few, stuck in a pattern I can’t break It’s like I can’t control myself, even though I know The past is poison I need help I’ve got bad blood in my veins The pain, the pain Round and round it goes I’ve got bad blood in my veins The shame, the shame And nobody knows, I’m just barely holding on I feel so weak but act so strong I know that it’s not all my fault It doesn’t help at all, knowing’s not the same as feeling Every time I raise my voice in anger It’s you I hear, crying out from the mirror I’ve got bad blood in my veins The pain, the pain Round and round it goes I’ve got bad blood in my veins The shame, the shame And nobody knows, I’m just barely holding on I feel so weak but act so strong I’m just barely holding on Looking back at all my past mistakes My own private hell, it’s a prison I can’t escape Maybe one day I’ll find a way I don’t think so I fear I’m here to stay

I can see the signs from miles away Your hands are shaking Your eyes stray Staring at a ghost that I can’t see Haunted by pain from your history Breathe in, breathe out I’ll be waiting when you come back down It’s just a rush Of blood, of doubt A sea of worry for you to drown in Just take my hand That might be enough That might be enough Trapped in a room you can’t escape You’re one square foot of real estate You’re climbing up the walls But you always fall at my feet Breathe in, breathe out I’ll be waiting when you come back down It’s just a rush Of blood, of doubt A sea of worry for you to drown in Just take my hand That might be enough That might be enough My love I know that you can hear me Through the static, through the screaming In your head Don’t listen to the madness That fire only burns if it’s fed Breathe in, breathe out I’ll be waiting when you come back down It’s just a rush Of blood, of doubt A sea of worry for you to drown in Just take my hand That might be enough My love My love

Bewildered 04:16
Cataclysms in my head at night Spend my dreams shaking in fright I’m lost in that inner space Looking around for a familiar face I’m falling through time Pick me up my dear, spin my body round I’m in trouble again I don’t have the words to explain how I feel They just don’t suffice The understanding in your eyes makes me want to cry Falling through time again I’m bewildered most of the day Doing my best to read the signs Looking back through my memories Reality starts to feel like a daydream I’m falling through time Pick me up my dear, spin my body round I’m in trouble again I don’t have the words to explain how I feel They just don’t suffice The understanding in your eyes makes me want to cry Falling through time again Falling through time again Falling through time again Everything, everywhere all at once See it like that and the fun starts I return to you again and again You keep me here in the present tense I’m falling through time Pick me up my dear, spin my body round I’m in trouble again I don’t have the words to explain how I feel They just don’t suffice The understanding in your eyes makes me want to cry Falling through time again Falling through time again

about

This EP is the first part of my new album Second Son. These songs mark the most personal I have been in my writing and the most confident I have felt in finding the sound I wanted.

Mixed by Peter Kallis, the songs of the new EP are said to have been recorded in just ten days, and see Allman joined by pianist Thomas Bartlett (The Gloaming, Taylor Swift, The National) and vocalist Kori Garder-Hammel.
